RUN A MILE Clubs

The RUN A MILE PROJECT “Club” is an out-of-school program that will offer either a single 8 week session in the Spring or two 8 week sessions, one will be in the Fall and the other one in the Spring. The intent is to build on what may be offered in an elementary or middle school. We will support a RUN A MILE CLUB at a school regardless of status on an “in-school” MILE Program. Sponsors or Partner Organizations and Companies can be vital assets to a MILE CLUB’s success. Volunteers will be welcome and will receive guidance on the structure of practices.

If you are interested in either 1) Sponsoring a RUN A MILE Club in your community, or 2) Being a Partner by providing Volunteers and individuals to help run a MILE CLUB Program.

Dr Pat Hogan is our Star Volunteer. He introduced a MILE Program at a neighborhood elementary school. Pat had already transformed his neurology medical practice by making walking and optional running a requirement of all Staff. I wish I could clone Pat for every community who wants to improve their kids’ fitness
